Math Tests with Answer Keys and Scoring Guides

Math Tests with Answer Keys and Scoring Guides – Mathbot, the Math Made Easy robot coach

Math Made Easy publishes 155 math tests for Grades 6 to 12, one for each chapter of nine courses. Every test comes with an answer key and a scoring guide that lists points per problem, which lets teachers and parents grade consistently. Tests follow the Common Core standards or the College Board AP frameworks.

Tests by level

  • Grade 6 Math: 20 tests, including integers and absolute value and inequalities
  • Grade 7 Math: 21 tests, including constructing triangles and random sampling
  • Grade 8 Math: 18 tests, including functions and scatter plots
  • Grade 9 Algebra 1: 21 tests, including exponential growth and decay and absolute value and piecewise functions
  • Grade 10 Geometry: 20 tests, including dilations and similarity and the equation of a circle
  • Grade 11 Algebra 2: 20 tests, including function composition and inverses and graphs of trigonometric functions
  • Grade 12 Precalculus: 18 tests, including vectors and conic sections
  • Grade 12 AP Calculus AB: 8 tests, including curve analysis with derivatives and differential equations
  • Grade 12 AP Statistics: 9 tests, including inference for proportions and regression analysis

Give a test once the lesson and worksheet for the chapter are done, then use the scoring guide to decide what to review.

Math Tests with Answer Keys and Scoring Guides: frequently asked questions

What comes with each math test?

Every one of the 155 tests has an answer key and a scoring guide. The guide lists points per problem and what earns partial credit.

Are there tests for the AP courses?

Yes. AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics tests use multiple-choice style items and free-response problems, patterned after the College Board course frameworks.

Can the tests be used for grading?

Yes. The scoring guide makes it simple to assign a percentage or a letter grade consistently. Teachers can adjust point weights if their school uses a different scale.

Can a student retake a test?

Retaking works well for self-study, because the scoring guide shows exactly where points were lost. Wait a day or two and review the lesson first.

How do tests relate to worksheets and quizzes?

A worksheet builds skill, a test measures it with full grading, and the 10-question quiz gives a quick follow-up check. The suggested order is lesson, worksheet, answer key, test, quiz.
